RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSIONERS' COURT COUNTY OF RERR. TE%AS WHEREAS, the Kerr County Commissioners' Court has determined that a need exists for temporary housing of Kerr County prisoners; and WHEREAS, the Commissioners' Court has taken steps toward a permanent solution to solve the incarceration needs of Kerr County; and WHEREAS, Kerr County has initiated plans to provide permanent incarceration space pending a bond election; and WHEREAS, it is anticipated that a permanent jail that meets current standards for housing prisoners will be provided within the allowable three-year time period of the use of the temporary facilities; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County Texas hereby approves the modification and use of the building now known as the "Woodwork Shop," located next to the Kerr County Administration Building on property belonging to Kerr County, Texas, as a temporary jail facility. Such facility, after the planned modifications, will be a forty-eight (48) bed facility, and will comply with all current applicable state standards for such a temporary jail facility. This resolution was passed and approved by the Commissioners' Court of the County of Kerr, State of Texas, pursuant to the requirements of the Texas Jail Standards Commission, on the ~ day of September, 1993.
