Compensation Self-Ins+_irance pool in which Ker•r• Co+_inty
participates for their Workers' Compensat;.an cover-aage.
The Co+.mty is receiving this award for maintaining an
exr_elJ.ent record of control.lir~g their Worker's Compensation
Claims. To q+aalify for this award, a County m+_rst have an
experience modifier of 0.7 or less and a loss ratio for 1991
of .6 or less.
The experience modifier was calc+_rlated +_rsing the fr-eq+_rency
and severity of claims from .19f38 thro+_igh 1990. The modifier
represents a type of coverage discount (or- extra charge if
los=.es have been bad). The lr,ss ratio is simply the ra+.io of
losses to contrib+.~tions to the p'oal for the year- of 1991.
