APPLICATION FOR GRANT MONEY TO EXPAND THE HILL COUNTRY YOUTH EXHIBITION CENTER November 17, 1994 Kerr County is applying for a grant to enlarge the existing Exhibition Center to accommodate larger groups for conventions and banquet meetings. Ken County and Kerrville Convention and visitors Bureau have a definite need for a facility that will accommodate 800 to 900 people for banquet and meeting room space. Kerrville has adequate Motel space for large groups, but not for groups of this size to sit for a meal or banquet. This expansion will also include a small kitchen area, expanded restrooms, drop ceiling and upgraded air-conditioning and heating. These improvements not only contribute to the economic growth of Kerr County, but to the Youth of Kerr County who will use this facility for numerous activities. Estimated cost - X325,000.00
