SLrBJECT: Approval of revised Rabies and .~nunal Control fees.
Attached is a suggested fee schedule that retYects all activities that a fee ma~• be assessed. .-also
enclosed is the current schedule for comparison.
The impound and quarantine fees are adjusted to reflect actual situations and costs and better fee
acceptabilitti- by the animal owner.
The dangerous dog fees are alread~~ set by the Texas Health and Safetti~ Code for registration and
transfer. The dangerous dog sign and leash is a service to the public. It covers actual cost and
handling.
The owner surrender fee is for pet owners who are giving up their animals. It is intended to
prevent a "free taxi service" for unwanted pets and prevent owners from abandoning, or turning
their animals loose to roam.

Registration Fees:
Registration must be done at the time rabies vaccinations are given or renewed
and can be accomplished in these ways: 1) by requesting a registration envelope
from your veterinarian or the Freeman-Fritts Animal Shelter, or 2) by coming to
our office at 101 Spur 100, Kerrville.
s. Neutered animals (Annual Fee) X2.00 per year
b. Animals not neutered (Annual Fee) X5.00 per year
Imaoundment Fees:
Any animal not kept in conformity with the Rabies and Animal Control Order and
State Law may be impounded. To retrieve an impounded animal, the owner must pay
a fee. This fee is in addition_to veterinari_an_andl_or animal shelter fees.
