The attached form letter was found in the Road & Bridge files, and I assume it was used in the past. The letter would only be sent when requested by the County Engineer, after all pertinant information is given to the commissioner, and after the commissioner has used his influence to resolve the violation. .. The alleged violation is as follows: Please be informed that under Article 6702-1, Section 2.401, .. a violation of either the stat~,te or the Kerr County Subdivision Regulations, is a Class B misdemeanor, punishable by: 1. a fine not to exceed $1,000.00; 2. confinement in jail for a term not to exceed 180 days; or 3. both such fine and imprisonment. _ Further, violators may be subject to civil litigation brought for the purpose of remedying such violations. At the present time, the Commissioners Court is willing to give alleged violators an opportunity to bring themselves into compliance with the statute and Kerr County Subdivision Regulations.
