Consider adoption of the attached letter, (or as modified by the Commissioners' Court) to be sent
when violations of Kerr County Subdivision Rules and Regulations are found, and after the parties
involved are contacted by the County Engineer in an effort to resolve the violation.
The attached form letter was found in the Road & Bridge files, and I assume it was used in the
past.
The letter would only be sent when requested by the County Engineer, after all pertinant
information is given to the commissioner, and after the commissioner has used his influence to
resolve the violation.

Dear
It has recently come to the attention of the Kerr County
Commissioners Court that you may have boon in volvad 3n a
transaction which violates the statute cited above and the Rerr
County Subdivision Regulations.
The alleged violation is as follows:
Please be informed that under Article 6702-1, Section 2.401,
.. a violation of either the stat~,te or the Kerr County Subdivision
Regulations, is a Class B misdemeanor, punishable by:
1. a fine not to exceed $1,000.00;
2. confinement in jail for a term not to exceed 180 days;
or
3. both such fine and imprisonment. _
Further, violators may be subject to civil litigation
brought for the purpose of remedying such violations.
At the present time, the Commissioners Court is willing to
give alleged violators an opportunity to bring themselves into
compliance with the statute and Kerr County Subdivision
Regulations. In that_ vein, you are hereby notified to appear
-before the Kerr County Commissioners Court on ,
1987, at o'clock .M.

At that meeting the following will take place:
1. the alleged violation will be discussed;
2. specific instructions will be given as to the
Commissioners Court requirements for compliance;
3. A time period for compliance will be given.
Please be aware that if you fail to appear at the meeting.

Attorney's office for the purpose of pursuing all remedies
available, including those enumerated above.
