Commissioner Lehman, seconded by Commissioner Lackey, the
Court unanimously approved by a vote of 3-0-0, to approve the
signing of non-county maintained roads at approximately $70.00
per sign.

To better answer the request of citizens in 1991, we came before the Court with a
recommendation to help with the signing of non-maintained county road.
In accordance with Gordon Morgan's attached memo dated September 12, 1991, we begin a
policy to sign non-maintained county roads for $70.00 upon request.
At this time we ask the Court to consider an order to this effect.

Maintained and Private Roads
Relative to my conversation with the Road & Bridge
Department; regarding the April 25, 1991, Commissioner's Court
discussion on cost and road sign policy:
The consensus of the Court was that we would only sign
County. maintained roads and would establish a charge or fee for
" signs on non-county roads or private roads. Both subject to the
discretion of the Road and Bridge Department based upon cost of
manufacturing and installation of such signs. That cost being
approximately $70.00.

The Road & Bridge department has been asked to install signs
on roads that are not maintained by the County. I have been told that
the sign crew does not sign such roads. However, there are some
non-county roads that have Kerr County signs.
! ask that you consider this issue so that we might be
consistant when answering these requests.
To aid you in making your decision, 1 have prepared the
following cost estimate per sign.
