SUBJECT: Reconstruction of Goat Creek-OfF
Enclosed is an estimate from Deli Voelkel for the project on Goat
Creek Cut-Off Road. This projection does not include new pipe, ditch
work, or drainage across the road. Therefore, we need to add for
contingencies:
Estimate: $207,567.00
Engineering: 10,500.00
(10%)Contingencies: 20.700 ;00
$238,767.00
This estimate far exceeds the money we orginally allocated to do this
contract. We desire to use a private contractor to do this project as
-- originally requested by the Court. Phyically, the Road ~ Bridge
Department can not do the work in-house since other programmed
work is already started.
Therefore, take all funds from line item 13-613-592 (Elm Pass) and
13-613-594 {Water Street) and add to line item 13-613-593 (Goat
Creek Cut-Off) giving us $186,000. Any cost over $186,000 would
come out of contract fees.
The State (David Hanson) told me on February 22, 1994, the money
for Water Street would not be needed until October 1994. This would
be the same mehod used on Indian Creek for Beech Road last budget
year.
We will look at completing Elm Pass out of contract fees after we have
completed the realignment of Ranchero and reconstruction of Goat
Creek Cut-Off.
