PRESS RELEASE The Texas Association of Counties is pleased to honor ~ County by presenting the County with their 1992 Safety Award. The Texas Association of Counties administers the Workers' Compensation Self-Insurance Pool in which ~2~~ County participates for their Workers' Compensation coverage. The County is receiving this award for maintaining an excellent record of controlling their Workers' Compensation claims. To qualify for this award, a County must have an experience modifier of 0.7 or less and a loss ratio for 1992 of .6 or less. The experience modifier was calculated using the frequency and severity of claims from 1989 through 1991. The modifier represents a type of coverage discount (or extra charge if losses have been bad).
