The bulletin board, across the hall from my office, is always cluttered with advertisments which at times does not even pertain to courthouse business. -- I feel it would be more professional to have a bulletin board outside of my office. It would be used for personnel information I would be able to post job openings as well as the Monthly Financial Report making it convenient for all interested Tax Payers to view when they come in and take care of Courthouse business. Your consideration and cooperation on this matter will be greatly appreciated. Respectfully, ~C~~~ , ~ ~ Barbara Nemec A little short between paydays? 1994-If you will earn under $23,760 and have at feast one child living with you in the U.S., you could be eligible for extra money in each paychec;c. The Earned Income Credit (EIC) reduces the amount of income tax you pay. In Some cases, you could receive the credit "in advance" and get extra money in your paychecks. If you c)ualify to get the Advance EIC all you do i5 file Form W-5, "Earned Income Credit Advance Payment Certificate," with your employer. Then, based on what you earn, your employer adds an additional amount of money (a portion of the EIC credit) to your take home pay. Self-employed people cannot get the credit in advance, but may be able to claim the credit when they file their federal tax return. If at any time during the year your circumstances change and you are no longer eligible to receive the credit, you will have to repay the amount advanced to you when you file your tax return. To stop the advance payment, you must fill out a new Form W-5 and give it to your employer. Also, if you receive AEIC in your pay, you will have to file a tax return. ~~ Department of the Treasury Publication 1763 (10-93) Internal Revenue Service Catalog Number 18631D Item No• 2.5 Bulletin ~nsideration of ~ tside of Bow ~ placing it ~''. lay lisp dated ~e~~i s Office to inforrnat~on for County ~1o1'~s May lp, 1994 ~~his item was passed)
