I have talked with my home office and EBP HealthPlans is willing to process all
claims prior to our initial run-in date of 8/1 /93 for an administration charge of
$7 per claim. This "per claim" means any transaction that would produce an
explanation of benefits, i.e. an actual payment to a member or provider or
charges being applied towards the deductible. In addition to the $7 per claim
administration charge, Kerr County would be responsible for alt claim dollars
paid. This amount would not go towards the aggregate and would be
considered dollars paid outside the existing contract. I have talked with Kathy
,Johnson in Sioux Falls. To date she is holding approximately 20 claims that
were incurred before 8/1 /93.
Barbara, please let me know how Kerr County would like to do handle this
matter.
