APPROVAL OF GOING OUT FOR BIDS
FOR THE TEMPORARY JAIL FACILITY
On this the 16th day of February 1994, upon motion made by
Commissioner Lehman, seconded by Commissioner Lackey, the
Court unanimously approved by a vote of 4-0-0, to approve Mr.
Voelkel to go out for bids by February 25, 1994. Opening date
for said bids to be March 15, 1994 at 10:00 A.M. The bids are
to be received by the County Clerk's office until 5:00 P. M.
March 14, 1994.
Mr. Julian, inspector for the Jail Commission gave the Court a
report of how our jail is operating. He stated that we were
over populated. He also stated he had to check out some
grievances that were sent to him, but did state that a
majority are unfounded. He also requested the Judge send a
letter to the jail commission reporting what work is heing
done for over crowding as the last one expired in January.
