Court unanimously approved by a vote of 4-0-0, to adopt

Whereas, weather forecasters offer little promise of a

Whereas, t.hesc hot, dry conditions pose thr_ threat of
large, fast-moving wild fires; and
Whereas, such fire.; have. the p<>tentiai of endanyeri_ng
li_vr.s and damaging propett_y on a wide scale; and
Whereas, the Texas Disaster Ar.t. of 1975 (chapter 418,
Teexas Government. Code) and the Order of the Kerr County
Commis;:;ianr•rs' t'ourt numbF,red 15130 and dated August 8, 1953,
authorize de:clarati.on of a state of disaster if the threat is
imminent rind that same prov:irie the violations of declarations
of disc:>ter are punishabl<~ as a misdo-•me, nor with jail t=erm of
up t_r.: 780 days and a fine not exceeding 97,000.00; and

declared and cont_inur~d until it is rescinded by the Kerr
County Judge or by action of the Kerr Cotanty Commissioners'

Be it furtl[er resolved ttia± the purpose of this order
is the=~ mitigation of thr~ liazard posed by wild fires by
curtailing then practicer of outdoor burning, excluding tY~+e
b,arning ofrombustible material in enclosures ;;uch as trash
barrels and charcoal. grills which are designed to contain all
frames rind embers, which purpose is to be taken into account
in any enforcement action bused upon this order; and
