DRDER NO. 229'2 BUDGET AMENDMENT TO TRANSFER FUNDS IN THE JUSTICE OF THE PEACE PRECINCT # 4 OFFICE On this the 13th day of September 1994, upon motion made by Commissioner Holekamp, seconded by Commissioner Dehler, the Court unanimously approved by a vote of 4-0-0, to transfer 3144. +D0 from Line Item No. 10-458-485, Conferences, to Line Item No. 10-458-309, Postage, in Justice of the Peace Precinct # 4 Office. Item Na. 2.15 Consideration of proposed Order to regulate certain outdoor businesses. David Litke did not take it into his hand to change these r•eg~alations. We asked some of the outdoor^ businesses to have some input. The process will not stop today. This is a disc+xssion and we will have to have a public hear^ing on this -- item. Tlsa Bailey the assistant Gounty Attorney stated that `~, the Gourt doesn't have the authority to make ordinances or regulate other than what is in the statues. Robin King addressed the Court stating a group of outdoor businesses held a meeting with approximately 10 businessmen. Personally I think.. it would help all businessmen to clean there businesses up. According to the papers it sounds like I have been lashing out at Commissioners' Court but I haven't been. I think we need to work together to make this thing work. This is a very complex issue. When this all began I had no idea the laws went into such details and there are a lot of things we will have to address. If a law is passed we need to work together on it. I am asking that this be table for approximately 6 to 12 months so we can do aur• own cleaning up and maybe then we don't have to have any law. The Court would rather the outdoor business govern themselves and this would be a positive for- all businesses. 'fhe Court decided to have a deadline of March 1, 1995 and came back at that time to check on the progress that has been made and give the Gourt an update.
