This item was discussed and the City and County are going to
tr'y to work together to come yap with a contract that both
entities can live with the City does not want to authorize the
hool<up at this time and wants the County to see if the system
is going to fail. Ilsa is to get back to the Court after- she
addresses the City with a contract.

Item 3.6 Consideration and discussion of personnel changes in
the County Rttor•ney's Uffice. (County Attorney)
David Motley addressed the Court r•egar•ding Harold's position
and salary range of new employee. The Court wo~_ild like to go
to outside co~_insel instead of filling the position. They
would like to tr•y outside counsel for• about 6 months and see
how it works, if this does not work then the Court would look
into hir^ing a new employee. David didn't feel this would be
good for• the Co~_inty Rttor•neyrs Office beca~.ise they don't have
enough time as it is to do all they have to do. They Court
feels that contracts that Ilsa does can be done with outside
,_ counsel. David feels that cutting an employee is not a
solution or' a savings of any kind. He feels that the County
will be hurting ther^e office if this is done. Commissioner
Holekamp feels that we can tr•y this until Febr•uar•y 1, 1996 and
see if it works. This item is to be put back on the agenda on
December li, i995.
