The Texas Highway Department is having to cut back on f~_rnds and they feel this is costing to state to much money because it is not being ~_ised as a park it is being i.~sed as a dumping ground for household garbage and deer- carcass. The Court is of the opinion that the park should remain open an possibly the County co~.~ld help with the clean up of the area. The Highway depar^tment is going to check up on the cost and get back to the Co~_~rt at a later date with the information. /~~~˘ f,~,s Item G.8 Consider and discuss county maintenance of Harper Valley Road. Pr-ecinct # 4 Several citizens have came to the Court to ask the County to take the Har•per• Valley Road over-. The Road has been a private road and it has been deter-iorating for years because of t-he of the lack of funds. It is approximately 1.11 miles which is the portion that is in Ker-r^ Co~_~nty. The Court has asked Leonard Odom to put a pencil to it with basic cost of maintenance because of the gr-andfather cla~_ise and come back to the Court with figures at a later date. /~/!4S 2.9 Item S.9 Consideration and discussion of the Park at Center Point known as the Lion C1~_ib park. This park was given to Kerr County in 1955 and Kerr- County has been ~_~sing this area for stock pile of gravel and diet. The Lions Club would like to have the area cleaned because someone has donated some eq~_iipment For- the kids to use on the concrete slab and at this time they can't ~_~se it with the yr-~avel and dirt there. Road and Bridge will go clean the area up and b~_irn the brush and possibly the Lions Cl~,~b can keep the area clean.
