Ratification of Contract Between Kerr County and
Laurinda E. Boyd and Authorization of the County
Judge's Signature
On this2~th day of September 1995, upon motion made by Commissioner
Holekamp, seconded by Convnissioner Oehler, the Court unanimously approved
by a vote of ~-U-O, to ratify the contract between Kerr Counn~ and Laurinda E.
Boyd and authorization of the County fudge's signature.

This contract is made this date between Laurinda E. Boyd, hereafter referred to
as Contractor, and Kerr County.
Contractor agrees to handle the on-going office functions of the Hill Country
Youth Exhibition Center Booking Office in Kerrville for a period beginning
October 1, 1995, and ending September 30, 1996.
Contractor shall be responsible for maintainuig the function calendar for the Hill
Country Youth Exhibition Center and to coordinate all functions (ie. facilities
rentals, stall rentals, table & chairs rentals, exhibitors requirements, including
any liquor licenses, etc.) through the Kerr County Governing Board of the Hill
Country Youth Exhibition Center. Be available to show the facilities to
prospective lessees, ascertain status of insurance and see that booked events
have an approved insurance plan or is within the Kerr County's insurance
policies. The Contractor shall work with all lessees in a friendly and
professional manner. Be available for additional duties on an "as needed" basis.
Contractor shall receive a compensation of Four Hundred Seventy-Five Dollars
($475.00) per calendar month for the contract period less federal deductions and
retirement benefits, an additional One Hundred Dollars per calendar month
($100.00} for the contract period allocated for communication expenses and
auto expenses. The above compensation shall be divided equally and paid on the
fifteenth and on the last day of the month. 1f the fifteenth or the last day of the
month falls on Saturday or Sunday, the preceding Friday will be the day the
payment shall be paid. If the fifteenth or the last day of the month falls on a
holiday, the payment shall be paid on the last working day preceding the
holiday. The average hotus for tl>i1s contract should not exceed eighty (80) hours
per month. Should the hours of the Contractor increase substantially, the
compensation would be open for review by the Contractor and the Kerr Count}'
Go~-erning Board of the H.C.Y.E.C..
This contract may be terminated by either party upon written notification with
30 days advance notice of the effective date of termination unless mutually
agreed in writing to the contrary- This contract shall be up for rene~+-al on
October 1, 1996.
