Made up of Texas Telephone Assn. -Non Profit Group Revenues generated from show aze donated back to provide scholarship funds which are made available to several different organizations (Pioneer Assn. would be one example} CONTACT: Les Esquell -Ingram (210/367-5333) Mr. Esquell is doing some very basic reseazch on the possibility of moving this show to Kerrville. (Has always been held at College Station) BASIC INFORMATION: Looking at coming to Kerrville for their annual Exhibit Show in 1997 or 1998 Communication related exhibits - geared to the workers - AT&T, 3M, etc. are a sample of the kinds of exhibitors that participate. Approximately 200 exhibitors -Considering our Exhibit Center for the show (Both indoor azena and exhibit center.) An average of 1200 guests come to the show -will need neazly all of the rooms available in Kerrville, plus some. (Some exhibitors come from 5 or 6 states other than Texas.) SCHEDULE: Time of year: Usually the first part of April. VIP's come in and do some preliminary set-up on Sunday Vendors arrive on Monday for set-up of booths Show goes Tuesday and Wednesday. (Most vendors break-down their booths right after the show ends) CURRENTLY: Looking at the Belton Facility Page 2 Bruce Oehler POINTS TO DISCUSS: In the past, this organization has not been chazged for their exhibit facilities due to the fact that they bring in so many room nights to the city. They have been using a University Facility. Also, due to the fact that they are non-profit organization, they have been able to justify the "no chazge policy." While they are willing to pay something ,they want to keep the charges down as much as possible. What do we want to chazge? 2. There will be a need for amperage throughout the complex. Another factor to consider. I understand that it computers, etc., (things that take110} 3. The availability of rooms in Kerrville is a big factor. There aze 916 Rooms in Kerrville and 1320 in Ken County. The above is submitted for yow consideration and to serve as an indication of the interest in ow community. The possibility of hosting this group as well as others requiring our facilities should have a baring on future expansion plans in Kerr County.
