Subject: Inspection of on-site sewage facility located 3/4 miles west of Comfort on Cypress
Creek Road.
Dear Mr. Henien:
On January 18, 1995, an inspection at the subject location revealed that the on-site sewage facility
needs upgrading.
This inspection revealed that the septic tank is undersized, too close to the well, and needing repair
to the inlet, outlet and access ports. The drainfield is too small, improperly constructed and too
close to the water well.
Additional site evaluation is required to determine the best location and type of facility suitable for
the property. This includes sods analysis. A professional engineer or a registered sanitarian is
required to design a facility for the soil and site conditions.
The design plan must be submitted to this department before a pernnit to construct can be issued.
A license to operate must be obtained after the system is installed and before the system can be
used.
An additional fee of $100.00 will be required to cover the repair installation inspections. If a
facility using surface irrigation is chosen, an affidavit to the public and filing fee of $9.41} cash will
also be required.
