V&G Contracting was the only bidder.
The bid was higher than we had expected. However, we recommend accepting the bid from
V&G Contracting with the following changes.
Old Price New Price
River Road Steel "H" Beam $ 45.00 $24.57
River Road Labor on Cable $4,200.00 (County will install)
This will lower the total bid by $9,593.52 making the bid a total of $22,623.98

There was some confusion on the bid for River Road Item # 4. Now that
the galvanizing question has been cleared up. I would like to resubmit a bid for
this Item @ Twenty Four Dollars Fifty Seven Cents ($24.57) per linear foot.
This price reflects a savings to the County of Twenty dollars and Fourty
Three Cents($24.43) per linear foot or a gross savings of $5,393.52.
