The roads are as listed Ripplewood, Sweetwater, Creen Meadow,
and Wovd Drive.

-f here are four roads in Woods Mobil Home Park off the 400 block of Ranchero Road:
Ripplewood, Sweet~.i-ater, Green Meadow, and Wood Drive.
These roads came uh on our computer schedule of roads to be resurfaced this year and a red flag
~~ ent up. How did these roads get on the current list of roads maintained by Kerr County? They
are in a private mobil home park, have speed bumps and are posted with signs that say "Private
Roads 1S mph:"
~~'hen we researchc:°~i the list of roads we found the following:
I . ~i heti~ have been on the R&B list since 1987.
~.. 2. 'There is no record of the C ounty ever having done any maintenance on
these roads.
3. ~'~'e can not find when are how they were added to the list.
4. One list of documented roads list referred to "Holland notes." However,
Holland's attached notes do not show these streets.
~t this time we ask the Court to direct us on how they would like for us to proceed with these
roads.

Confirming our conversation this morning, consideration is being given
toward applying for a grant through AACOG for construction of a sewage line
and household connections within the Oak Grove Mobile Home Park
The streets within the Park art Wood Drive which parallels Ranchero
Road for approximately 1.505 feet, commeneis~yq at Highway 16, and three
connecting roadr;, Grtenmcadow, Rippplcwo and Sweetwater Drives. The
total length of ttlr~ three wade is estimated at 1500 feet
There ar~~ B9 mobile home sites and a clubhouse in the Park. all owned
::~y Royce Woad.. Each site and the clubhouse is served by s septic tank system
and water is pr•a~Jided by a well operated by Mr. Wood
The area iq in the path of conBlderable groundwater which flows down
from the Loma Vista dome and on through Royal Oak Subdivision toward Camp
Niceting Creek. Conversion of this compact area now served by septic systems
ro a gravity floss- iinc tied into the Nimitz School line would grcets~y benefit the
Community.

owner of !'ie Wood's Nbbile Elculx~ Dark, in appreciation of his
efforts ~_~~ solve surfacing wasl~~ water problems on his property.
Mr. Ubod c~~~ntacted us some tinx~ ago about the failure of septic
systems 1-~cated in a seep area. Based upon research done at
North Caro]_ina State Universi"ty we designed a law pressure
dosing s;~~tem to serve seven tc~ ten mobile home sites.

General `.
The law pressure system utilizes a collection reservoir which
pumps the ~~stewater to a suit~-tl~le soil absorption site after
the solids have been removed by passing through a standard septic
tank. In this case, the absoi~~tion field is located about 300 feet
uphill fro:l~ the seep area. The drainfield in this type of system
is design~~~ to take a urLifornl closing under law pressure every 3 to
4 hours a]lowing an equal arrount. of time for soil recovery. Since
constant ~-~turation is not a fac-tAr in this system, the trenches
are only ~ ~~,~~ foot wide and one foot deep saving considerable
expeiLSe ~ I ~o.~ccavation, gravel and pipe (see design enclosure) .
The syst~r~: is installed and ~,~.~rk:iny well. I fool this experience
has been .~ good example of what can be accce~lished when land
owner alp: ~~egulatory authorit~~ work together fora quality
