COMMISSIONERS' COURT CONVENED IN A SPECIAL WORKSHOP' SESSION ON Monday, February 27, 1995 with all Officers present and the fallowing proceedings were held: R workshop was held for• the discussion on park land development for Kerr County. Sudie Bur^dett, Linda Speck, Dennis Kneese, George Prendergast, Bill Taylor, and Harold Wunsch were in attendance for the meeting. The Judge addressed the public stating that the Court would like to get the community involved with the park land development to get some ideas fr^om the general public. Commissioner Oehler met with the Parks and Wildlife Department to get some funding started. We would also like to poll the public for needs, and we need to include as many organizations as possible. We are trying to do this with grants to where there would be no cost to the taxpayer. Mayor Wunsch s~_~ggested maybe a bed and breakfast tax. Linda Speck stated that we ar•e always needing pr^actice fields for• soccer that ar^e level and ant free. We have already made a commitment with the City. Dennis Kneese applauded the Court for doing what they are doing this is long over due. Those of us that have grown up here know their is a need. There are grants you can get for Boat Ramps which is separate from other gr^ants. The PAGE 770
