This item was discussed and the owners of outdoor businesses were supposed to do there own cleaning but to date nothing has been done. Robin King was made the spokesman for junk yards and outdoor businesses but they have not taken any action. A workshop is to 6e done with Environmental Health to discuss the draft on junk yards and outdoor businesses. Item 2.8 Discuss the On-The-Job-Training (OJT program sponsored by goodwill Ind~.xstries/JTF'R for the Ker•r• Co~_inty Animal Facility. (Commissioner- Precinct # 3) Commissioner Holekamp addressed the Court stating something would need to be done about personnel when the new Kerr• Co~_inty Rnimal Facility has been built. Commissioner- Holekamp suggested filling the position of front clerk, and feeding the animals, with a person that is possibly a junior- or• senior- in high school looking far a .job. This would give the person experience needed for- getting a .job as well as helping the ~-, Co~_~nty fill the position and we are educating people at the same time. J~.idge Denson feels this is a good idea and would like to see Commissioner Holekamp pursue this further-. Robert Green and Char^1 es Conrad made a presentation to the Court on election equipment/system. This system covers the ~ entire pr-ocess of Elections. This system was designed in 1988 ,, and put to the test in 1989. Global is the fastest growing company at present and the machines ar^e certified for elections.
