2. The Clerk of the Court cashes check at bank and puts cash

for jury pay. The cash drawer will be locked in a vault at
all times except when in use. Justice of the Peace Jury cash
funds will be held by the County Tr-easurer until needed for
payment of juror^s on the day of attendance.

4. While prospective juror-s are entering courtroom a jury
payment receipt (see form B) and a Victims Crime Donation form
(see form C) will be handed out to each person. Receipt will
explain payment procedure. Each juror is to print his/her
name on the sheet as it is on the jury summans,as well as a
signatur^e. Victims Crime Donation Far^ will explain the law
allowing them to donate funds by placing desired amount in a
receptacle placed outside the Courtrao^ and marked "Victims
Crime Fund Donations". Funds tendered to the Treasurer for
VCF will be receipted by the Treasurer.
5. As they leave the Courtroom, each person will hand
his/her receipt to a clerk and receive the appropriate cash.
R Bailiff will stand by for security assurance.
6. The twelve/six person selected to serve on a jury panel
will be paid in a similar manner and the end of their jury
term in the appropriate amount.
7. After jurors ar^e paid, the Clerk will perform a cash
count of remaining funds in the cash drawer, and prepare a
cash drawer reconciliation. (See Form D) A copy of the
r-econciliation will be sent to the Auditor's Office. The
Clerk will request funds to r^eplenish funds (See Form A) in
the amount which was disbur^sed, from the Treasurer who will
provide a copy of the request to the auditor. The process
repeats itself.
8. A cash count and reconciliation must 6e performed on any
day in which funds are received or disbursed from the jury
!'-1 cash fund. Any discrepancies shall be reported to the
Auditor's Office.

9. The auditor shall perfor^m a cash count during r^egular
~ internal audits, and may perform a sur-pr^i se audit of cash on
hand at any given time.
10. A copy of this procedure shall be attached to the
Commissioners Court Order appr-oving cash payment for jur^ors.
Item c.3 Discuss and approve hiring maintenance personnel for
the new law enforcement facility.

Commissioner Holekamp, seconded by Commissioner Oehler, the
Court unanimously approved by a vote of 4-0-0, to vacate a
Kerr County Subdivision Plat Lost Springs Estates to be put
back into acreage and set a public hearing for plat on January
22, 1996, at 10:00 R. M.
Item 2.6 Approve proposed new board member, Andy Fox, to the
Kerr County Child Services Board. (Peggy Dunbar)

Commissioner Holekamp, seconded by Commissioner- Lehman, the

Fox as the new board member to the Kerr County Child Services
Board.
