SUBJECT: Annual county rabies vaccination drive and request for reduced
registration fees.
DATE: January 16, 1996
The Rabies Vaccination Drive is scheduled to be held from February 3 thru February 17, 1996.
Dr. Leifeste, representing the area veterinarians, has asked that a reduced registration fee of $1.00
be approved for all dogs and cats vaccinated at the February 3rd clinic and at all area veterinarians
offices during the rabies drive time period.
Action requested by the Commissioners Court is to reduce the registration fee required by the
Rabies & Animal Control Order to $1.00 for vaccinations given during the Rabies Vaccination
Drive.
Dr. Leifeste and Eddie Holland will be present to answer questions.

KERR COUNTY
Saturday, February 3rd, is the county-wide rabies immunization day for pets from
1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. with the schedule of places and the veterinarians as follows:

The cost will be $6.00 per animal and $1.00 County registration. Total - $7.00.
Pets may be vaccinated at the reduced rate at your local veterinarian's office during regular
working hours February 5th through February 17th.
Vaccinating your pets is one of the best defenses against the spread of rabies.
Rabies vaccinations for horses, cattle, sheep, and ferrets is available through your veterinarian.
