RE: Consider Work Schedule Due to Water Shortage
As you know, water is a problem with the whole area. Road & Bridge work requires that we use water
in any new or reconstruction work. The following is an outline of work that we have scheduled in the
1995-1996 Budget, but have not started.
Reconstruction
Ranchero Road from the bridge to area worked last year.
High Drive also know as East Ridgeway(off Monroe)
North & South Park Roads in Guadalupe Ranch Estates
Spanish Oak off Stoneleigh
Taylor Road (Comfort Air Park),,
Cade Loop (1/z mile) ,..~~~ ~~-
New Construction
._ ~ ~, Bee Caves Road (homeowners have $9,000 in escrow).
~~, Harper Valley (homeowners have money in escrow, but we have used some for dozer work to
push up material).
We ask for direction from the Court as to whether you want us to start these projects.
If not, we ask that you consider allowing us to do the following:
1. Continue doing Seal Coat which does not require water. We would continue with the
program we have scheduled to do in the 96-97 Budget.
2. Carry over the projects listed above into the 96-97 Budget.
3. Use funds in this year's budget (Contract Fees and Special Projects) that were allotted for
these projects for emulsion oils, aggregates and/or contracts to Seal Coat.
4. Allow us to transfer funds from Contract Fees and/or Special Projects to emulsion oils or
aggregate as need without coming to the Court prior to using. We receive a discount for
emulsion oil if the bills are paid in a timely manner and if we have to wait for aline-item
transfer before payment we will not receive this discount.
5. Give us direction as to how the funds in escrow are to be handled.
