RE: Live Bottom Dump Trailer
Our 1995-96 Capital Outlay Budget allowed for a Live Bottom Dump Trailer.
After an exhausted search, all I have been able to find is a 22 year old, Flow Boy for $9,000. If we
purchase this trailer, it will need some immediate repairs, and may require high cost maintenance in the
future.
A new 1996 Red River, Model-LB237 is $34,300.
We now have $16, 618.99 in our 95-96 Capital Purchase Budget Line (15-611-570).
Using the funds we have available, we could lease the new trailer for 7 months ($13,612.17), and
consider the purchase at budget time. It would have a full warranty and should require no maintenance.
