Dear Ms. Rector:
This letter is in reference to the $195,576.41 due on Ken County Registration Reports 8-96,
9-96, 10-96 and 11-96.
When the Registration Title System (RTS) came on line in Kerr County on April 18, 1996, the
system started with the year to date total of $262,051.58, which was the ending balance of
registration report 7-96. The auditing process performed by our department was not complete for
reports 8-96, 9-96, 10-96 and 11-96 until after April 18th. Once the RTS system is on line, the
manual reports not previously entered in the old system are held until the yeaz to date total in RTS
has reached its maximum.
When reports 8-96, 9-96, 10-96 and 11-96 were entered using the maximum yeaz to date total,
the fee distribution changed resulting in a shortage to the State. The following is a break down of
the additional fees due the State by report number.
