Be it enacted try the Legislature of the State of Texas: SECTION 1. Subsection (f), Section 118.131, Local Government Code, is amended to read as follows: (fl On or before October 15 of the [eae~] year tat zoh.ich. the fees are iztitially set, the commssioners court shall pro~~ide written notice of the amounts of the fees [~ seE•tien] to the comptroller. If the cozuauissioners court changes the antouztt of a fee set xnder this section, the eonzmissioners court shall provide to the comptroller, on or before October 15 of fhe year in zt>hich the a>nouitt is chazaged, a urritten notice of the change in the azrzouztt of the fee. Before December 15 of each year, the comptroller shall compile the fee information pro~~ided by counties and send the compilation to: (1) the commissioners court of each county in this state; ' ('?) any statewide association of counties or of officers of counties that requests in writing before" December 15 to be informed; and (3) the State Bar of Texas. SECTION 2. Section 51.fi01, Government Code, is amended to read as follows: Sec. 51.601. COURT REPORTER SERVICE FEE. (a) The clerk of. each court that has an official court reporter s~shall collect a court reporter service fee of $15 as a court cost in each civil case filed urith the clerk'to znaizrtain a coztrt reporter zuho is azxtilable for assignment in the court [' ]• (b) The clerk shall collect this fee in the manner provided for other court costs and shall deliver the fee to the county tz~easurer, or the person who pez~arms the duties of the county treasurer, [ ] of the county in which the court sits.
