Dear Judge Denson & Commissioner's Court:
This year SB 793 amended the family code to require the
Texas Attorney General to identify and implement a statewide
intigrated registry of all child support and medical support
orders issued in or referred to the State of Texas. As a result
the AG appointed the Integrated Child Support System Advisory
Council. I was appointed as one of 4 District Clerks in Texas
to serve on this council and have been an active member in
developing and implementing an intigrated system.
Also, I have recently been appointed by Chief Justice Tom
Phillips to a Supreme Court task force to study Judicial
Efficiency.
I have also committed to conduct an educational program on
a difficult subject at the Co & District Clerk's Seminar in
College Station in March, 1996 that will require many hours of
research on my part.
In light of these new commitments, in addition to my
regular duties and responsibilities I feel I must decline to
serve as chairperson of the committee to plan county activities
for County Government week for Kerr County. I will, however,
play a major roll in planning activities and some have already
been planned. The good news is - Treasurer, Barbara Nemec has
agreed to accept the responsibility as Chair.
Please enter an amended order appointing Barbara Nemec .as
Chairperson of the committee to plan County Government Week for
Kerr County.
