DANFDRD, A~@lAM CouNIT Anw>6Y To: Kerr County Judge & Kerr County Commissioners From: David Motley, Kerr County Attorney Date: February 15, 1996 Re: Pesticide Application in Courthouse Building I feel that I must alert you to a situation which is unbearable. One of our employees has medical records verifying that she has a severe allergy to organophosphates and pesticides which have residual effects. This exposure, which would not have occurred had posting and pesticide application been properly done in the first place, has resulted in a severe set of additional complications, which have become so pronounced that I must insist that this continual poisoning cease immediately. Apparently another poisoning is scheduled this afternoon. I strongly urge you to initiate a moratorium on sprayings, in order to prevent the unpleasant consequences of additional injury to my staff as well as other courthouse personnel. There are alternate pest control methods available to anybody who chooses to inquire. Let's face it, when toxic substances are sprayed upstairs, they invariably drift down into our offices. I would be happy to address the entire court an this matter. ~~~c~~~a.ZZ Item 2.22 Consider and discuss pest control services at the Kerr County Courthouse.
