MEMORANDUM TO: ALL CITIZENS OF KERB COUNTY FROM: BOB DENSON, COUNTY JUDGE DATE: JANUARY 11,1996 SUBJECT: KERB COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT CENTER There have been trtany cotttments lately about the construction of the Kerr County Law Enforcement Center, which is not as of yet completed. The architectural firm employed by the Commissioners' Court is in charge of overseeing the construction and insuring its completion represents the product we all expect. Due to a number of concerns raised by various citizens, the Court authorized a private meeting with our architect so all technical questions can be answered. The participants of the meeting were and aze intended to be those who can discuss construction matters and return to report in open court on January 22, 1996. Questions about the political nature of the meeting, its participants and private status have now been raised. It is therefore my opinion that to serve only the best interest of the citizens of our county, the meeting should: 1. Be held as previously scheduled; 2. Be limited to only those 5 people of technical skills as originally contemplated; and 3. Be private to its participants. It is my opinion that only by excluding all public officials and all candidates for political office, the real benefits of the meeting can be attained.
