re: audit of Kerr County Rural Fire Prevention District No. 1 for FY 95-96
Gentlemen:
We have been informed of a new law (Section 794.082) which requires that if the
county auditor is to perform an audit for an entity such as a fire district, that a request
for such audit must be made at least 120 days prior to the end of the particular fiscal
year. This letter is therefore a request that the Kerr County Commissioners Court
approve this request from Kerr County Rural Fire Prevention District No. 1., for the
county auditor to perform an audit of the District's books and records after the end of
the current fiscal year. The current fiscal year for the District will end September 30,
1996.
On behalf of the District commissioners, please accept our appreciation for the
audits done in the past for the District by the County Auditor.
