Re: Proposal -Kerr County Extension Office We are pleased to present the following response to your Request for Proposal. Our firm seeks the opportunity to serve your County as Architects for the Extension Office Building. We have been providing architectural services for clients in Kerrville since 1992, and we have projects in the Kerrville area that will take us to the turn of the century. One project in particular that shares some ,.., of the same elements as your project is the Family Life Center at First Presbyterian Church. In this project, we combined the cost effectiveness of a metal frame building with an appearance that softened the harshness of some metal building designs. Our design reflects our client's design and building requirements with their financial needs. With our client, we believe we have created a successful project ® with an excellent contractor. Holland & Patterson would like the opportunity to do the same thing with Kerr County. Mindful of your very -- complete layout and your budgetary considerations, we believe we can provide an exterior design that is economical and that will bring a sense of pride to the citizens of Kerr County. Your site is open; your parking adequate; but building placement will be critical. The fee for our services would be six and one-half percent of the cost of construction, not including contract administration. To save you money, we would propose the contract administration phase of the project be on an as-needed basis. We would charge on an hourly basis for contract administration work, and there would be no charge for travel. Our services would include structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical engineering consultants. You would need to provide soil information for the structural engineer. -- Again, let us say we want to provide architectural services for you and look forward to the opportunity to do so. m Attached is a color photo page of the Family Life Center, as well as information on our firm. If you need references on our ability to work in the Kerrville area, please contact Mr. Steve Huser at 257- 8588. Sincerely, „_ Attachments 5700 S.
