On this the 8th day of January 1996, upon motion made by
Commissioner Holeliamp, seconded by Commissioner Lackey, the
Court unanimously approved by a vote of 4-0-0, to approve the
Interlocal Agreement for Mental Health and Chemical Dependency
Commitments at the Y.errville State Hospital between Kerr-
Co~_+nty and Medina R~ Real Counties.
Item ~.4 Disc~_+ssion, consideration and approval of hiring
maintenance personnel for the Kerr County Law Enforcement
-- Facility.
George West addressed the Court stating several people have
looked at the Administration Ruildiny and felt the Court
needed to be away'e of some things that ar-e not done and having
a :; million dollar building it needs to have maintenance done
as far as inside and o+_rt. The Maintenance Department are
st~or•t handed at ttie pr-esent time and there is not enough
equipment to keep bath the Courtho+_~se and the Kerr Co+_nty Law
F_nforcement' Facility +.tp. The Co~_+rt is well aware of the
things that ar-e not being done and as far as equipment is
concer-ned Jim is go get some water hoses for' watering the
trees at the facility. As far- as employees they ar•e going to
have to wait and see what is going to need to be done and see
if possibly an employee could be hir-ed to suit the needs of
the facility. Jim i:> to make a list of what can and cannot he
done by his staff and come back to the Co+_+r-t with his
s~_iggestions at a later date.
