On this the c3r•d clay of September- 199E:, upon motion made by
Commissioner Holekamp, seconded by Commissioner Lehman, the
Co~_trt unanimously approved by a vote of 5-0-0, the resolution
regarding return of Lottery Dollars and authorize Judge to
sign the same.

TD THE PROPOSED SENATED PILL F2EGARDING THE TEXAS LOTTERY
--- WHERERS, the lexas Lottery Commission has cond~_tcted the
Texas Lotter'~y since its implementation in 1992; and
WHEREAS, Senator 'Tom Haywood has proposed a senate bill to
be presented in the 1997 legislative ses=_ion of the
Texas Senate that: wo~..tld req~_tire the Texas Lottery
Commission to reti_rrn five cents of every Lotter-y
sales dollar to the r_ity where the sales was
transacted or the county where the sales transaction
location was in the ~_tnincor•porated area of the
county; ar~d
WHERERS, the state lottery tic{<et sales in Kerr County during
the calendar year'• 1995 totaled 57,41:s,5B0, and this
proposed bill wot-tld have r•eturr~ed to the cities and
county of Kerr County a total of 5,:,70,679; and
NOW THEREFORE, PE IT RESOL..VED,
on September ", 1996, the Coi_tnty Commissioners'
Co~_trt of F:err County, Texas adopted an official
Resnlt.ttion approving the acceptance of the proposed
senate bill by Senator Tom Haywoo r•etur-ning five
cents from every dollar to the Texas state lottery
tickets sales ret~_tr•ned to tFre Car.n-~tv of Kerr and
cities situated therein, however-, with the suggestion
that s~_tch bill be amended to allow two cents be
rebated to Kerr Co~inty irrespective of the location
of lottery sales within the co~_tnty.
