We are structuring the department to respond in an effective manner using as little overtime as possible. One man will survey damages and call the people needed to respond. To do this job effectively, we need a cell phone. Our radio is improved since the antenna was moved a couple of years ago, but it still does not reach many areas in the County, especially Lane Valley, Hazenwinkle, and Center Point areas. If the man doing the survey for damage needed assistance from these areas he could not reach the Sheriff Department by radio. Heneke has the heavy duty bag phone free with no activation fee. All we would need to purchase is two batteries to have one charged at all times. The charges for service are attached. We ask that you allow ^- Road & Bridge to obtain a cell phone for emergency response. ~~ ~~ ; Fib' - ""~°"`"°°"~""'YSbsc~si~~ 34 r~liSttle per t71kNl~ Cf191'g@ M First 200 mir+utes - No Charge =59.95 Each addigonel rni
