' RR COUNTY JUDGE Forest service puts central Texas under fire danger warning Kerr included LAMPASAS, Texas (A~) - An °extreme fire danger warn- ing" for 26 counties in central Texas will remain in effect until the next substantial rainfall, the Texas Forest Service has announced. The deeignation will remain is effect until the 26 counties receive at least 1.5-inches of rain, the agency said Tuesday is a release. The counties under the des- ignation are Bandera, Bell, Bexar, Blanco, Burnet, Comal, Comanche, Concho, Coryell, Edwards, Gillespie, Hamilton, Hays, Kendall, Kimble, Kerr, Lampasas, Llano, Mason, McCulloch, Medina, Menazd, Mills, Real, San Saba and Uvalde. Since the Texas Forest Service initiated wildfire mon- itoring 17 days ago, 121 wild- fires have burned 5,032 acres in the 26-county area. Eight of the affected coun- ties - Blanco, Burnet, Comanche, Kendall, Lampasas, Llano, Mills and San Saba -have bum bans is place because of the extremely dry conditions.
