All proceeds from this sale will go to the Jason Patino Scholarship Fund. A date for the sale has not been determined, although August or November were discussed pending permission to use the court house lawn. Last summer Jason Patino was tragically killed in an automobile accident. He would have been a senior at Tivy High School this year. This fund was set up by Jason's mother Mrs. Pauline Patino at the Kerrville Area Community Trust in 1997 Mrs. Patino will be organizing the bake sale. Income earned by the Fund provides scholarships to young people from Kerr County seeking to further their education at the college level. In May seven $850 scholazships were awarded from the Fund to students from Kerrville and Centerpoint including Johnny Fabro, Michelle Freed, Clint Morris, Jewell Smith, Amber Brown, Freddy Martinez and Jeff Rotge.
