At this time the night janitor has been assuming the
responsibility of a security officer, having to lock up the
Courthouse after hours (around 5:30 p.m.). Now the Maintenance
Department was notified to lock one side door at 5:30 p.m., then lock
the other side door at 6:00 p.m. and do a complete walk through of the
building.
For the safety of employees working late and the security of
individual offices, I would like to see this fall under the duties of
the Courthouse Security Guard. i do not believe the scope of the
janitor's duties should include this type of responsibility.
