Equipment Needed: a) Radio b) Overhead Lighting c) Cage d) Video Equipment Purpose: To stop the flow of narcotics coming into Kerr County from surrounding areas. Estimated price: $ 22,000 "* 2) One vehicle to be used as a investigative unit. (Proposed: purchase from used D.P.S. fleet). Estimated Price; $ 9,000 Equipment Needed: a) Hide away radio. Estimated Price: $ 1200 Purpose: To be used in~the Overt, and Covert Investigations of Narcotics. "' 3) One AudioNideo Transmitting Device. Purpose: 1) To enhance Criminal Prosecution. 2) To allow Confidential Informants to make drug transactions with suspects when a officer can not be introduced. 3) To enhance Officer Safety during covert operations. Estimated price: $ 1,200 **' 4) One Panasonic Mini Tape Recorder. Purpose: To enhance clarity in Covert Operations, Interviews, Case Management, and Court Testimonials. Estimated Price: $ 400.00 5) Moneys to be expended for training in new investigative techniques, and trends in order to ensure that officers perform in the highest professional level, and also certain Narcotic related books, and materials to assist with identification, common practices, and penalty enforcement in Narcotic related offenses. Not only will this help educate the officers of the unit, but will greatly reduce the Vicarious Liability to Kerr County.
