Memo Ta Tommy Thompson Fwr>C Bill Johnson CC: Date: 07/31/97 t~ Network design and equipment requirements Provided is a drawing and component listing with costs associated to give the County Auditors Office access into the Novell network located at the Kerr County Sheriff's office. This design allows for all existing users to access the network simultaneously. tt also allows for future expansion of users at no cost to the Auditors Office. The onty limitation currently is the Netware License at the Sheriff s network. An added benefit for future consideration is the ability of the Kerr County Sheriffs Office to access the POWER 370 unit at the Auditor's Office simply by adding an ethernet card in the IBM Power PC and activating the proper addressing. I am providing a page with the required pin configurations for RJ45 connectors. Should you decide to acquire our services 1 would like to talk to the individual installing the cable prior to starting this task to insure that the cable ends are terminated con'edty.
