Memorandum TO: Commissioners' Court FROM: Franklin Johnston, P.E., County Engineer Leonard Odom, Jr., County Road Administrator DATE: July 28, 1997 RE: Annual List of Regulatory Signs In the past we have had an annual process necessary to install regulatory signs throughout Kerr County as provided by Article 6701g, V.T.C.S. This year we are requesting a second list. Attached is the second list of name changes and regulatory signs for 1997. Once you approve this list, it will be published three times, have a public hearing and then accepted by the Court. Please note we have added some items for you to consider as a policy for signs in the future. The following items are included in the attached advertisement: 1) We listed signs that need to be approved as they have been in the past. 2) We asked that you adopt a 30 MPH Speed Limit in all Ken County subdivisions. 3) We asked that you allow Road & Bridge to make the decisions as to when and where to place regulatory signs with the exception of Speed Limits. If these items are approved, we would still need to bring an annual list for name changes, speed limits and special request to the Court; usually at the beginning of each year.
