SUBJECT: Executive Session regarding my possible
retirement
Due to advice from my doctor I am contemplating retiring
Nov. 30, 1997.
I emphatically recommend my Chief Deputy, Jannett Pieper to
be appointed County Clerk to finish my term of office.
This would be through Dec. 31, 1998.
Jannett is most qualified and experienced in my office. Since
1992 she has been Administrative Deputy in charge of County
Court at Law--the biggest department in the office.
After the death of Lois Hudson, I appointed Jannett Chief Deputy.
It was in this position that she now serves Kerr County which
includes elections.
During these years plus while I was recovering from a heart
attack she has proven her experience, integrity, and knowledge
of all the departments is what it takes to be county clerk in
Kerr County.
Thank you all for the support that you have given to me and my
staff. It was really appreciated.
