February 24, 1997 at 2:@@ P. M. with All Officers present and
the following discussion was had:
d aat4 9 7( Item la Status and direction on the Flat Rock Lake
Rork. (Commissioner Pct.1l3)
The status on the Flat Rock Lake Park need to reapply
for grant application by July 31, 1997.
Commissioner Letz would like Bone changes in the park
plan. Commissioner Letz has a problem with the entrance
and the makeup of the committee and he would like some changes
with the plan. Judge stated that the committee was a group of
people just to do the leg work for the county on the grant
application. LCRA came to the County with the f200,@@@ and
asked us to go for the grant application with the Texas Parks
and Wildlife Department. George Pendergast stated that if we
do not go forward with the grant application they will pull the
(200,0@0 from us. Judge told George Pendergast to set up a
meeting with the committee and with Commissioner Letz and
Commissioner Baldwin to give them a full summary on the park.
Commissioner Letz & Commissioner Baldwin ar•e to meet with
the Park Committee before they reapply for the grant
application on a game plan for construction and maintenance of
the park and what direction to go to next with the park

8 Regulations. (Commissioner Pct.#13)
Commissioner Letz talked to Franklin Johnston on the changes
of the subdivision rules and regulations. Mr. Johnston said
there was a revised draft on the table. The City of Kerrville
Planning and Zoning are working on the City's Subdivision
Rules and Regulation. Mr. Johnston also stated that the rules
and regulations should be reviewed by the County Rttorney
since some of the laws have changed since the revised draft
was drawn up. Commissioner Letz stated a committee should be
formed with the County Attorney, different developers, City
of Kerrville Planning & Zoning , Road and Bridge Department,
Commissioners and UGRA to go over the Subdivision Rules
8 Regulations.
Jim Brown of UGRA stated that Headwaters Underground Water
Conservation District should be allowed to sign off on
plats and also to have the County Flood Manager sign off on
plat s.
William Fair encourages the Court to look into the future on
platting subdivisions and to work together with the City on
~ the platting process to be a step ahead.
