proceedings were had:
i'he meeting was called to order at 9:00 A. hl. and the
County Clerk. addressed the Court with her budget 'for 1797 -
1998. Judge Denson complimented the County Clerk for the
budget she submitted to 'the Court. 1'he Court was satisfied with
what was done on the County Clerk's budget at this timer.
Commissioner Oehler arrived in the Coi.irtroom at 9:59 A.N.
i'he District Clem: addressed the Court at i0:20 R.M. and the
the District Clerk. suggested to the Court to give employees a
1/2X cost of living raise and the other 2 i/2X be alloted as
a merit increase for the elected officials to give to
employees they feel that they deserve the incrrea<_>e, but not to
be more than a two step increase.
The County Treasurer was taken up at 1i:05 A. M. the Court
added part-tircie help 'to hr::>'r budget. The Treasurer's budget over
al.l had little change to it.
The County Auditor was taken up at 11:3(4 A.1+1. with several
decreases in his budget. l'he Court was very pleased with the
Audi.tnr's budget.

Commis<.>ioners' Court convened at 1:30 F-'. M. with the Tax
Rssessor/Collector presenting her budget. The Court was very
pleased with Paula iiector's budget 'that it was very
real>onabl e.
Paula addressed the Court about the Internet. The Court
dea:ided to have 1'-'auaa get together with the County C1E_~rt:. and
the District Clerk <tnd come track to Coi.~rt on July 2, 1997 at
i0 A. M, to mate a presentation on this item. The Court
supports the Internet.
