APPROVAL OF FLAT ROCK LAKE COUNTY PARK
GRANT APPLICATION
On this the 17th day of July 1997, upon motion made by
Commissioner Let z, seconded by Commissioner Lackey, the Court
unanimously approved by a vote of 5-0-0, the park plan for
the Flat Rock Lake County Park Grant Application and authorize
the County Judge to sign Cover Letter and Resolution as
submitted.
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION
TEXAS RECREATION 3 PARKS ACCOUNT PROGRAM (TRPA)
A RESOLUTION OF THE KERR COUNTY COMMISSIONERS' COURT, IN KERR
"'^' COUNTY, TEXAS HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO A "APPLICANT",
DESIGNATING CERTAIN OFFICIALS AS BEING RESRONSIBLE FOR, RCTING
FOR, AND ON BEHALF OF THE "APPLICANT" IN DEALING WITH THE
TEXAS PARKS & WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT, HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO RS
"DEPARTMENT", FOR THE PURPOSE OF PARTICIRATING IN THE TEXAS
RECREATION & PARKS ACCOUNT GRANT MATCHING SHARE IS READILY
AVAILABLE;AND DEDICRTING THE PROPOSED SITE FOR PERMANENT
PUBLIC PARK AND RECREATIONRL USES.
WHEREAS, the Texas Legislature has approved the "Grogram"
(section 24 of the F'arks R Wildlife Code) for the purpose of
allowing the political s~_ibdivision of the State of Texas to
participate in the "F'rogr^am";and
WHEREAS, the "Applicant" is fully eligible to receive
assistance in the "Program"; and
WHEREAS, the "Applicant" is desirous of a~_~thor^izing an
official to re pr^esent and act for the "Applicant" in dealing
with the "Department" concer^ning the "Program";
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE "RPPLICANT":
SECTION 1: That the "Applicant" hereby certifies that they
are eligible to receive assistance under the "Program",
SECTIDN 2: That the "Rpplicant" hereby certifies that the
matching share for this application is readily available at
this time.
SECTION 3: That the "Applicant" her^eby authorizes and directs
it's agent, Fronter^a Rssaciates International, Inc., to act
for the "Applicant" in dealing with the "Department" for• the
purpose of the "Program", and, Frontera Associates
International, Inc., is hereby officially designated as the
representative in this regard.
SECTION 4: The "Applicant" hereby specifically authorizes the
official to make application to the "Depar^tment" concerning
the site to be known as Flatrock Lake Co~_~nty F'ar^k in the
Co~_mty of Kerr for use as a park site. That Flatrock County
Park is hereby dedicated for will be dedicated ~_ipon completion
of the pr^o posed acq~_iisition) for public par^k and recr^eation
pi_irposes in perpetuity.
SECTION 5: The "Rpplicant" hereby declar^es and resolves that
all lands dedicated as Flatrock Lake County Park shall not
allow any mining for, explor^ation of, or• drilling for oil, gas
or other minerals of any nat~_tre or kind on the subject lands
incli.iding b~_~t not limited to gravel, coal ar other hard rock
material.
