Dear Billie,

In regards to the Expended Warranty plea offered to Kerr County, ESdzS would
be willing m brill the county 52,100 on September 1,1996, due October 1,1998.
The warranty coverage period on the 150 OMR Scaimen would be September 1,
1996 through August 31.1999. Kerr County would then be bllled $2,100
annually on September 1~ for the next five years.
ESdrS cannot guarantee that Kerr County would receive Preventative
Maintenance on the 150 Scanners, under this plan, prior to the November 1998
General Election if you were in wait until October 1998 bo accept this offer.

Dear Billie,
This tether 3s to follow up on our discussion regarding the Preventative
Maintenance /Warranty on the Kerr County 150 OMR Scanners.
Currently the "Original Warranty" on the 150 Scanners has expired. We have
offered an Extended Warranty program to Kerr County on this equipment at a
cost of 52,100 annually (cost is for both 150's)_ This would extend the warranty
for aru-thar five (5) years. If accepted, the Bxtended Warranty program covers all
party and labor, offers one (1) "No Charge" PM per year and holds the mst of a
2~ • 3~ (or more) PM at the $550 rate ($450 base plus 5100 each additional unit).
In the case that Kerr County would choo,,e to decline the &xtended Warranty
offer, the cost of Preventative Maintenance would be $1,150 plus the cost of any
parts taut arc replace. The cost of replacemerrt parts can range fiom $2 to over
$2500 Per part.
Please let me know if you have any further questions regarding our Warranty
and Preventative Maintenance plan.
