On this day the 8th day of June, 1998 upon motion made by
Commissioner Baldwin, seconded by Commissioner- Lackey, the
Court unanimously approved by a vote of 4-0-0, the Resolution
supporting Rmendment No. i to the Airport Participation
Agreement for TxDOT CSJ 9615Ker^vl Rirport Impr-ovement and
Reconstruction Rroject and authorize County Judge to sign
same.

AIRPORT PROJECT PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT
(State Assisted Airport Development)
Amendment No. O 1 to the Agreement

WHEREAS, the City of Kerrville and the County of Kerr, Texas, hereinafter referred to as
the "Sponsor," and the Texas Department of Transportation, hereinafter referred to as the "State,"
have entered into an Airport Project Participation Agreement TxDOT CSJ Number 9615KERVL,
executed by the Sponsor on September 26 and October 11, 1995, respectively, and by the State on
December 1, 1995, for the development of the Kerrville Municipal/Louis Schreiner Field Airport,
and
WHEREAS, the project is described as follows: reconstruct section of Runway 12-30;
rehabilitate, stripe and mazk Runway 2-20; rehabilitate and mazk taxiway to Runway 2-20; install
medium intensity runway lights on Runway 2-20; install centerline reflectors on taxiway to
Runway 2-20; install secondary lighted windcone; install segmented circle; and associated
appurtenances at the Kerrville MunicipaULouis Schreiner Field; and
WHEREAS, it is in the mutual interest of the Sponsor and the State to amend said Airport
Project Participation Agreement at this time to update the project description and add an additional
work item to project description and to increase the total estimated project costs in order to correct
base repair problems encountered during construction and increase the amount of state financial
assistance; and
WHEREAS, Part II -Offer of Financial Assistance, estimates total project costs to be
$780,000.00; and
WHEREAS, fmancial assistance is currently limited to $702,000.00 in state funds and
$78,000.00 in local sponsor funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the parties' mutual promises, the following
amendment to the Airport Project Participation Agreement shall become effective upon execution
of this Amendment by the Sponsor and the State.
The Airport Project Participation Agreement is hereby amended as follows:
1. On page 1, pazagraph 3 of the Agreement, change the project description to the following:
repair and overlay Runway 12-30; stripe and mark Runway 12-30; rehabilitate, stripe and mazk
Runway 2-20; rehabilitate and mark taxiway to Runway 2-20; install medium intensity runway
lights on Runway 12-30; install centerline reflectors on taxiway to Runway 2-20; install secondary
lighted windcone; install segmented circle; install lighted guidance signs; and install a runway
lights radio controller for night operations; and associated appurtenances at the Kemille
MunicipaUl,ouis Schreiner Field.

2. On page 2, Part lI, paragraph 1 of the Agreement, change Amount A, estimated eligible
project costs, and any further references in the Agreement to Amount A, to $975,000.00.
3. On page 2, Part II, paragraph 1 of the Agreement, change Amount B, Sponsor's share of
eligible project costs, and any further references in the Agreement to Amount B, to $97,500.00.
4. On page 2, Part II, paragraph 1 of the Agreement, change Amount C, State's share of
eligible project costs, and any further references in the Agreement to Amount C, to $877,500.00.
All other terms and conditions of the agreement are unchanged and remain in full force
and effect.
The above amendment to the Airport Project Participation Agreement between the City of
Kerrville and the County of Kerr, Texas, and the Texas Department of Transportation is hereby
mutually agreed to and accepted by,
