In October 1997, Jailer Julian Garcia received a merit
raise, which brought him up to Step/grade 14/3, $18,773
annual.
On May 16, 1998, Mr. Garcia was promoted to Shift
Supervisor, Step/grade 15/1, $18,773 annual, which was the
same salary amount, $18,773 (without his merit raise).
In order for Mr. Garcia to receive the raise that should go
with his promotion he will need to keep his grade, which
will make his Step/grade 15/3, $19,723 annual.
I appreciate your consideration in approving the merit raise
Mr. Garcia earned along with his Shift Supervisor salary.
