APPROVAL OF THE NINTH AMENDMENT RND EXTENSION OF
CITY/COUNTY FIRE FIGHTING AGREEMENT AND RUTHORIZE
THE COUNTY JUDGE TO SIGN SAME
On this day the 28th day of September, 1998 upon motion made
by Commissioner Oehler-, seconded by Commissioner- Baldwin, the
Court unanimously approved by a vote of 3-0-0, the Ninth
Rmendment and Extension of City/County Fire Fighting Agreement
and authorize the County Judge to sign same.
NINTH AMENDMENT AND EXTENSION OF CITY/COUNTY FIRE
FIGHTING AGREEMENT
This NINTH AMENDMENT, by and between the CITY OF KERRVILLE, TEXAS, herein
called "City", and COUNTY OF KERB, TEXAS, herein called "County", which amends and extends
that certain Fire Fighting Agreement Between the City of Kerrville and Kerr County, dated May 22,
1990, which agreement has been amended and extended by agreements dated December 11, 1990,
August 27, 1991, August I1, 1992, September 28, 1993, September 14, 1994, September 12, 1995,
September 10, 1996, and August 26, 1997 (hereafter collectively referred to as "the Agreement"), is
entered effective October I , 1998, for and in consideration of the following agreements:
1. The term of the agreement be renewed and extended for the period beginning October 1, 1998,
and ending September 30, 1999.
2. For the services rendered by City pursuant to the Agreement during the term defined in
paragraph 1, above, County agrees to pay City the amount of $75,000.00, payable in twelve equal
installments of $6,250.00 each, the first payment being due on October 15, 1998, with payments
continuing and due on the fifteenth (15th) day of each successive calendar month thereafter during the
term of the Agreement, with the final payment due on September 15, 1999.
3. City and County agree that except as extended and amended herein, the provisions and
conditions of the Agreement, inclusive of all prior amendments, are hereby ratified and affirmed and
remain in full force and effect.
